The SFS Group was asked to support the CO’MET project with its expertise and high-quality fastening solutions – a task we were happy to take on. After all, SFS has many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of flat roof fastening systems. The customer took advantage of our one-stop-shop services, benefiting from a comprehensive supply of 840,000 fasteners for the building envelope, thus ensuring lasting stability for this ultra-modern construction. Our fastening solutions are precisely engineered to guarantee reliability, durability, and optimum aesthetic integration for each individual project. As our fastenings were an integral part of the building process, SFS provided various services throughout the project to ensure our products were perfectly suited.
We carried out wind load calculations to prevent wind-induced slippage, thereby guaranteeing roof and facade stability in compliance with national and European building codes. We also worked together to optimize the mounting patterns, focusing on cost efficiency and ensuring that they blend structurally with the building. In addition, we adapted our solutions to the local climatic conditions to achieve maximum fastener lifespan, an important factor for the sustainability of the project.
Focus on aesthetics and sustainability
This large-scale construction required a diverse range of materials and we provided customized fastening solutions for a variety of substrates, including concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum, and steel. We used durable materials to extend the longevity of the individual elements and minimize maintenance. When creating custom finishes for our products, we prioritized aesthetics and sustainability by powder-coating the fasteners for a seamless integration with the facade.
By conducting on-site pull-out tests to check fastener performance, delivering technical training for precise installation, and providing a range of other support services, SFS concentrated on aligning fastening solutions with CO’MET’s long-term goals, enhancing both the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of this impressive events complex.
